These are well constructed, medium to heavy weight earrings, which makes them feel solid and substantial. I love that the stud is longer and when you put the clasp on, it doesn't squeeze your ear too tight. However I'm very disappointed in the clasp's quality, it brings the entire earrings' value down in my eyes. I am thinking about getting a better backing and wearing them more often, because right now the clasp and earring are 2 totally different quality levels. I love how the little crystal is set so well and secure, but there is no hole set behind the crystal to show the light and sparkle through it. That does affect how sparkly it looks. Overall I am pleased with these earrings and I see them as a good fit for a more modern look.
